I got 2 clown gobies and they have these bumps all over them. They seem to be breathing fine, eating baby brine shrimp..they won't take pellet food yet. But seem to be acting normal.
Here is a pic:

Ich or velvet. But looks more like ich. Hypo or copper will take care of it. None of which can be used in a Reef.

We are looking at a clown goby though percula9 depending on the age it can't be more than an inch or so, I see treat for ich beings though there is no known cure for Lymphocystis except good water quality. Do both, and it should go away.

Agree, it looks like lymphocystis. Keep your fish in good health and it may resolve. Lymphocystis is caused by a fish papilloma virus, similar to the human papilloma virus that causes warts. Antibiotics and antiparasitics are useless, so don't waste the time or money, or put your fish through the stress.

Does the fish have white spots on him or does it look like his scales are upturned. I have seen this before on clown gobies, if it is what i think it is the scales are upturned.

wouldnt that be dropsy, and require maracyn

thanks
Chris
