hmm I saw a pic of that war coral also and I thought it might be it also. ty for the replies,

pretty cool looking piece no matter what it is, how big do favia's usually get over time? its about 2.5 inches around now with maybe a dozen heads. its nice and fluffy tonight since I gave my tank a heavy dose of oyster feast this morning before work, everything in my tank is loving that stuff
