Can the apex be used for dosing?????

I need a doser for MAG, CAL, ALK with timer and all, do our APEX eliminate the use of timers and how???? I am pretty software challenged so easy with the terminology and such, but I am willing to learn and read and listen. How do you use your Apex to dose? What are your codes in what order do you go into the operation of this feature etc... :beer: thanks all help appreciated

Kind of, but not as accurate as a dosing pump.

The Apex can control down to the second but the accuracy not perfect. 1 second on time could be slightly more than 1 second. You program just like a pump but you need to do some calculations. Daily dose needed / number of doses you want to break it into will give you time; then use OSC to dose.

I have two BRS dosing pumps hooked to my Apex EB8. Doses 1.1 ml per minute and I have them run about 6 min of every hour after lights out and pH < 8.3. I stagger the dosing by 30 miniutes using the OSC command so only the Alk or Cal at one time.

I only dose Alk and Cal and just add the Mag when I do water changes.

I have had the Drews dosers from BRS for about 2 years now, and they are excellant!

Your no help rezaktp! I wasn't comparing that one with the others yet now I have another pump to consider! lol, thanks for some feedback though.
