Can this clam heal after being eaten by a Regal Angel?

Any chance of this guy recovering? Will feedings of phyto help? It not attached to a rock, but i placed it under a rock and hope it will attach. This was in my friends tank and he did not realize his Regal Angel was nipping at it.

I'd bet not- but it can't hurt to try- I'd put it where it can get plenty of light for a few days, not under a rock. good luck-

wow! how long did he have that Regal Angel before it nipping at the clam? hope it heal...good luck...
