Can u put Seios on a wavemaker

no, they are not made for the constant on and off of power.. it is rumored that seio is coming out with a wavemaker to work with their power heads.

I would not advise putting them on one, or even getting one for that matter. I had 2 1100's freeze up on me after 3 weeks. They are a HUGE pain to get restarted if there is even a slight power fluctuation.

I can think of much better ways to spend the money I wasted on them.

JMO,,but its from personal experience.

My favorite LFS has had one on a timer for 3 months but all mine (3) are a pain to restart. All 1100's.

I picked one up used. The guy said it had to be lifted out of the water to restart anytime it was turned off. Took it to my LFS GURU. (thanks Ron) we messed around with it. (I was disappointed in the amount of flow, he got that sorted out. ) Now it seems to restart on it's own when I have to turn off the power to it. But I still would not put it on a timer.

IMO, all it is a rumor. I read a bunch of thread on this a while back and nobody could ever really get any info from TAAM. I don't remember the exact situation but I belive they use a different type of power than the tunze's making it extremly difficult or impossible to make a controller for them.

I have had two 620's on a wave maker for about 2 months now with out a single problem.....and they each take turns kicking off and on every 35 seconds
