Can you disturb sand with powerhead

Is it ok if you let the powerhead blow low and down to the sand for he top of the tank?
Not sure if it is ok to disturb sand?

I guess other than creating a sand storm it would be fine. I know that my wavy sea blows sand around when it hits the corners of my tank(which funnel water downwards)

what I saw when I did it was nice it actually moved the sand away from the rocks and made like dips in the sand
