Can you Frag Ricordia?

Hello:

I have been reading alot on how to frag corals, mostly mushrooms and other soft corals, however I was wondering if the common technique (cut them into quarters and have them attach to small rocks) will work with ricordias too. could anyone enlighten me?

Your advice is appreciated...

You can cut them just like regular mushrooms. Halves heal faster and are more likely to survive then quarters but you can do either.

Yea with rics since they heal/grow fairly slowly, it helps to have a piece of the mouth but you don't need it. I would do it anyways though.

Heck you can practically throw them in a blender... Super easy to propagate. No mouth is necessary :)

Someone I know threw a bunch of mushrooms in a blender, took them out, put them in a frag tank and they all came back.

Also, after you cut it, can you just put it back in the tank or does it need a separate one?

You can put it right back in the tank. They're very easy to propagate.

For faster heal time, I put ric and shroom frags in a qt w/ low light for approx. 2 weeks. then, move to wherever you please.
