I'm not thinking about purchasing this guy, kind of out of my price range, but I know I've seen this before just cant remember what it is. Can you help me out?

thats what first came to mind....but I honestly dont know that much about octos. your guess is as good as mine.

it's either a mimic or a wonderpus, little is known about either species, and they're best left in the wild for now until we know more, just my $.02

Don't buy it unless you are planning on spending a good 10,000 dollars to build a great tank for them. They are rare in the wild and in a standard tank they are not nearly as fantastic as they are in the wild.

Ya i wasnt planning one getting it, just wondering exactly what it was. They look awesome! too bad we havent quite figured out how to care for them.... maybe later. well, instead of starting a new thread, whats the average tank size needed for the smaller octo species, say O. wolfi?
