Can you help me pick my fishies?

I'm to the point where I am looking at fish for the tank. I'm probably a month away or more from actually purchasing any, but I was hoping to start gathering opinions.

Tank 75g, sump and soon to have a refuge area too. I have 75lbs of TBS sand(way alive) and 150lbs of their rocks. The tank has been up since mid-April and the last of the rock was put in last night with their cleanup crew. I have massive amounts of life in the tank as it is and don't want to overload it with fish. I'm thinking nothing over 3-4".

My list so far:

Royal Gramma
Orchid Dottyback
Chalk Bass
Macneils Assesor
Swissguard Basslet
Spotted/Pajama Cardinalfish
False Percula Clown
Scotts Fairy Wrasse
Golden Wrasse
Carpenters Flasher Wrasse
Blenny
Jawfish
Goby

No, I don't plan on buying all of these, I'm thinking a single basslet, cardinal, goby, jawfish, a blenny maybe two wrasse or clowns.

Does that seem like too many?
Will these play nice together?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Sounds like a nice group of fish for a 75. I would lean towards the carpenters wrasse rather than the scotts or golden which get pretty big for a 75. I also had a friend who had a chalk bass start going after all the smaller passive fish and this was in a 90. HTH

Hear would be my list
1 Royal Gramma
2 Black Percula Clowns
1 Carpenters Flasher Wrasse
1 Bicolor Blenny
1 Yellow Watchman Goby
1 Pistol Shrimp to go with your watchman goby

I could do without the clowns, but my three year old & wife could not.

I like the Carpenter Wrasse, it's sharp. I likes the wrasses and would have more if I thought I could ditch the clowns.

The blennie, jawfish and goby are tossups. I want them all, I just can't decide on which ones.

I have a pistol that hitchhiked in on the rocks, so it is ready for the watchman. I'd also like a sand sifting goby or some other sifters.

I'm sure I'll be modifying my list many times throughout the next several weeks until I start buying.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll take all I can get.

Keep the clowns! Thsy are great fish with lots of personality and make a nice contrast to wrasses. I think you could do several carpenters as well and that would make a great display.

By several carpenters, how many? Two?

I'm also torn between a Bicolor or Midas Blenny... any opinions on these?

I think you could do a pair or three carpenter's wrasse no problem. I've had both of those blennies and both species are great, lots of personality. I have heard the bicolors can become clam and SPS nippers but are usually reef safe (the one I had was). The midas is more colorful and both species are one of those comical fishes. I just think its a matter of personal preferrence.

Any particular order these should be put into the tank?

I figure I might buy one or two fish at a time.

I'm probably the only one with this opinion, but without a species tank situation, jawfish are not beginner fish -- but you will love a midas blenny . If you do go with a jawfish - it should be the first fish added. Probably followed by any shrimp goby you are putting in. I'd probably add the clowns & the chalk bass next :)

Ditch any idea you have of sandsifting gobies. They will only remove benificial critters from your sandbed which helps to keep your sandbed healthy, which in turns help to keep your water clean and healthy. .

Wow, I didn't know one of them would have the ability to do that much damage. I'll keep that in mind.
