Can you ID this? Worm?

I have been able to see about 2" of this at a time. The first time I saw it, I could see two ends and assumed it was a brittle star but now I'm not so sure. It has a more red tint than you can see in this pic and seems to have hairs coming off of it in little groups. I rarely see it in the light and I have never seen it away from that dead piece of coral and it moved very quickly when I moved the snail.

It's a bristleworm. They are pretty much harmless scavengers. They'll do a lot to keep your tank clean by eating leftover food the fish miss.
