can you pair this mix of clown fish in a 29G tank?

I would like to pair a black and white ocellaris with gold striped Maroon clown fish.

Will they get along?

Maroon's are IMO, the hardest to try to pair. If you want a better chance, try any other clown to pair.

FWIW it should be POSSIBLE to pair a BW Occelaris with a Maroon, but it's not likely, and you'll probably end up with a dead fish.

maroons are one of the most aggessive clowns and would most certainly kill your others.derek

You should be able to, for a while at least...maroons get really big, and 29 might not be big enough to house them forever. Also, it can be hit or miss on pairing maroons, but the only thing you can do is give it a shot as long as you're prepared to remove one in case the fighting gets too bad.

thanx, that is what I wanted to know. I am going to stay away from maroons, and go with a pair of ocellaris. One black and white, one orange.
