I have a healthy colorful mini maxi and want to make more can you propagate these and if so what is the procedure and how long till you can propagate again?
Also can you propagate any anemone species?
thanks

There are only 3 that can be manually propogated. Those are E. Quadricolor, H. Magnifica, and S. Tapetum. Your Maxi Mini Carpet is S. Tapetum, so yes it can be manually propogated. The process for all three is the same. You must cut it in half, so that each piece has half of the mouth and half of the foot. If the conditions are good and the anemone is healthy, it should heal in a month or so. You should wait until it regains its full size before cutting it again, IMO.

I'm not a follower of that cult, lol.

Many people believe they can be split, but I've never seen reliable evidence of a split Haddoni living more than a year after the cut, and DEFINITELY never seen one rehealed to the point of being successfully cut again.

Great thanks for the info my nems nice and healthy i will give it a try do i need to put the pieces in a basket to keep them in quarantine for the time it takes them to heal.
I figured whats the point in buying more when i can propagate them at home:thumbsup:

Well both sides are looking good when they heal i will do this again i might do this a couple of times so i can have more in my DT.
Thanks for the info

Its a shame that the Haddoni's species cant be propagated those are beautiful
anemones not to mention how much they are worth when grown to good size.
