Can you recommend your favorite coral epoxy?

I've tried a few different kinds of coral glue used to attach frags. But really, I've yet to be impressed. They don't set fast enough and really, don't seem to hold very strong even once they are "dried." I've had a few frags just fall off their mount or get knocked off. Can anyone recommend something that has worked well for you and why you chose that over others?

Locket gel superglue, works fast and easy to control and will not pollute your tank

JB WaterWeld epoxy has always worked well for me. It can be found at most hardware stores (including Walmart) and it's not too expensive either. Just make sure to knead it well before you use it.

Superglue gel, put drops into water for 1 minute, then apply to base, then wait 30 seconds out of water, then place coral and count to 60.....done!

I use a combination of whatever SG gel is cheapest and JB waterweld. 2 small marble sized balls of JBWW. put a drop or two of SG on one of the balls and mash it into the rock where you intend to place the frag. I then push the frag into ball #2, remove it and put a drop of SG in the now molded JBWW and then put the frag back. Pue another drop or two of SG on the bottom of the frag/JBWW combo and place it on the JBWW in the tank. Mold the two pieces together and if needed, hold it for a minute or two to allow it to start to set.

I've yet to have a frag fall off that way, even with a bulldozer of an urchin who makes the rounds on a nightly basis.

I also use a combo. I find I need less of the putty so it looks a little cleaner in the DT. I use Loctite Gel and a 2 part putty. Got it at PCO. Putty holds it in place while the Loctite is curing.

I recommend NOT to use Ecotech Coral Glue -- absolute garbage.
I bought it because I thought "those guys" would have a good product, but the glue falls apart inside the tank within 24 hours.

Like other says, stick with regular loctite super glue. It dries very quickly and holds strong.

I've been using Aquamaxx Reef Weld instead of the 2 part. When I'm attaching a frag, i'll do a dab of superglue on the bottom of the plug, then from AM ReefWeld then superglue again. Reefweld won't make your skimmer go nuts either. :)

As far as epoxies go Tunze Coral Gum Instant by a mile. It conveniently comes in two separate containers, not a sausage that dries out. It's pink. Best of all, it doesn't make your skimmer overflow unlike any other epoxy I've ever used.

I like the sounds of this method a lot. I've used JB Waterweld and SG gel for a couple of years but, never in quite this way. This sounds about as bullet proof as possible.

About any epoxy putty and any super glue type gel. JB Weld is good stuff. The epoxy putty forms to the uneven surfaces and creates more contact area for the bond. The super glue increases the bond strength.

Oceans Wonders Coralline Purple Reef Safe Epoxy Putty

Use this stuff religiously. Holds really well.
