Canada

I'm talking about the good stuff here... Stuff like Middle Ages, Stone, Ommegang ect... I know they have better stuff than the Molson and Labatt that they export but they lack a large micro-brew industry.

no they dont. there are tons of mirco's in canada...there are 4 or 5 just over the boarder at niagra falls....went to them when we stayed over there. they make great beer. they just cant import because of the FDA's rules that they dont or cant obide by.

there arnt to many beers that can rival Molson bidours. (i cant spell the name for the beer). as well as labatts in canada is a totally different beer that is simply amazing to taste the difference between american and canadian labatts.

Canadians do a better job brewing maybe on a big brew stage. like Bud,Miller, and the rest versus Molson or Labatts. Canadians win hands down. However the microbrewery's here in the states are primo and would go head to head with anyone...Now that said some of the micro brews like Ommegang for instance is brewed here but under the watchful eye of brewery Pilsner Urquell... so in some sense they should be excluded from American micro brews... I think brewers such Brooklyn, Wagner,
Cooperstown Brewery,Middle Ages..are the true micro brews of NYS..

oh yes i aggree that the micro's un the states are good and much better than comercialized beer. i was just letting him know that there were good micro's in canada as well. wagner is good i used to know the daughter of the owners...they make great wine as well...:)

I know there are some good micros up there, I just always thought that we had better ones... Large scale brew is a whole other beast... The only mass made stuff that isn't swill IMO is Sam Adams, Guinness and New Castle... But anyways... Canada is a beautiful place and they seem much more peaceful up there.
