Hi all! my name is Darryl from Canada and I am glad to join the best and most educated saltwater forum in the world! - "Reef Central". Currently I have had a starter 120g tank going for the last year with mostly fish with a wee bit of coral. I decided shortly after the 120 gallon was set up that I should of went with a 6 ft 180g like I originally planned but jammed out being my first salt tank. I am now in the middle of my 180g build and will post lots of build pics! I am kinda an equipment junkie one could say and my main equipment list will include LED Radions, Bubbleking SM 200, 2- Vortech Mp40's with an ATB 1800 Flowstar, and a Vertex Cerebra controller when they are finally released.
I started with just a regular 180 tank and built an overflow for the bean animal which I almost read every page of info on weeks later. Bean is just one of the many people that seem to make Reef Central such an awesome site with so many other well educated people on it also.
My 180g tank kind of seems like a nano tank compared to some on here
Here is the start of it:
I decided to make a guide out of a piece of glass to get holes started
Strong tape on bottom to prevent chipping which seemed to work excellent
