does 10 dollars a polyp sound too cheap for candy apples?? i'm nervous too buy, because i figured they would cost more, can anyone enlighten me?

Well depends on if they have a picture or not. They usually go for $15 per polyp, so $10 isn't necessarily too low.

lol okay thanks, just wanted to make sure they weren't like 30 a polyp. We all know anyone can put any pic they want up so i'll have to see when i actually get to his house

Price is what anyone is willing to pay. but $10 is a pretty good price the way this hobby has become, considering if it's a true CAR.

I just sold some for $6 a polyp. I have sold them for lower.

$10 is a reasonable price, but like 650-IS350 said its what people are willing to pay as well as some things are not always available out there.

Its important to be comfortable that you are getting what you think you are. I definitely paid more than that ($6 or $10) for them.

Beleieve me sir, I have tried, but so many people are being told something is rare and it isn't. Many newbies aren't aware of the sky high prices. A few years ago you could buy a colony of 30 to 40 on a 4 x 4 inch rock of just about anything except blues for for $ 35 to $ 50 all day everyday.

I have sold hundred of frags and thousands of polyps on many reefing sites including Ebay over the years all day everyday for $ 15 to $ 25 per frag and loaded with polyps. See the link for yourself.

But somebody started saying it's supply and demand, LOL, then chopping them up, gave them a cute name, told people they were rare ...and here we are, for a coral that can sprout a polyp overnight. And BAM, $ 25 for a polyp. I have never seen anything ike it as these prices are not being drivin by the supplier, NO, they were created and driven by THE CONSUMERS !!!! Unlike SPS which can take months to grow enough to sell, a frag of zoas or palys you purchased on Monday can sprout a polyp on Thursday and BAM !!!....$ 20

I hear you Friday Night, as long as these prices are ask....these prices will be paid. Or is it vice versa??

Mooch

thanks friday night, i used your picture to judge and thats what they are. So yeah they're sweet. The guy i dealt with gave me a huge deal so i was happy.

yeah, i would say the prices of zoa's on hear are outrageous, around here alot of people are into zoa's in our reef club and frags and even colonies are cheap $10-$20.... and no they are not crap ones, ppe's, car's, purple hornets etc...... the crazy thing is people are buying these...... come on $300 for 10 polyps?? are you kidding me?? to each there own i guess........ Along with tri color acros etc...... just got a tri color 3" frag local for $20..........and could be fragged into 4 smaller frags... but im not into fragging.... just nice colonies :) too many people are trying to get rich off of this hobby anymore.... im not naming any names but theres alot of members buying colonies of chalices off of live aquaria, getting them in the mail, fragging them and immediately posting them on here for sale making alot of money off of these...... maybe im old fashion but the midwest is nothing like what goes on here, friendly people and everybody goes home with nice frags for little to nothing and is still a hobby.....not a business.....

yeah i'm stumped under leds they look like the pics, but under my t-5s the red skirting looks more dull, anyone want to give they're opinion? does it mean they're true car? lol

mine are under t5hos also and the red skirt is more of an orangeish color but with only actinics or my led moonlights they look more red...still look cool though and yeah the light doesnt change if they are true or not ;)

got a pic?
