For those of you out there with candy coral. do they spread slowly or what do they do exactly. Also i have read they have sweeper tentacles at night is this true?

i have a smaller tank only a 30g with 30lbs of live rock, and about a 2inches of live sand. i have 3 T5 bulbs and one is atnic. my pH is around 8.1, sailinity is about 1.022. and the rest of the nitrites, nitrates , nH3 are almost zero. i just go the candy cane coral off ebay for a great price, and thought i would give a try. some articles online say they need high light. A pet store down by me says they propagate best under low to moderate lighting. For those of you out there with candy coral. do they spread slowly or what do they do exactly.
