Is brown stuff on candy cane coral always be brown jelly?
They come when lights on and go away when lights off.
I have the candy cane for 2 months now, it got the brown stuff in the first couple days. It is not doing good, but still not completely dead yet. Other corals in tank never get the same thing, including hammer, acan, acropora, zoanthind.
I initially thought those are algae. I tried to move it to top, mid, bottom of the tank, both high and low flow, nothing seem to help.
I just recently read about brown jelly disease. As I understand, it will kill the coral in days, and spread quickly, which is not my case. Does my case sounds like brown jelly?
Should I still try iodine dip it?
