So, I have a candy coral in my 24 nano and we've noticed some interesting growth patterns here as of late. It started with one head sort of "merging" with the surrounding polyps. Now, all of the branches are starting to do this. It appears that all of the heads on each branch are converging into one big one on the end of each stalk. In case that ever so helpful description is less than clear, see the photo
Has anyone ever heard of this or actually had it happen in their tank? The coral is in the back of the tank about 3" from the surface. The first head started to do this when we had the stock light on the tank. We now have the viper halide on there now. Lighting may have absolutely nothing to do with it, but I'm just throwing it out there. Thoughts??
