A fellow reefer on another site posted a pic of one of his fishes. He said it was a candy hog wrasse but every pic i can find of 1 looks different. His was orange with yellow horizontal stripes(VERY nice looking). Every pic online just looks yellow.
Does anyone have a candy hog wrasse and a pic of it in their tank to post please?

Thanks but still not the fish :mad2:
His was bright orange with just a few thick, bright, horizontal yellow stripes. The orange and yellow were VERY bright. Cant seem to find anything similar anywhere

That is a Candy Hog fish imo. I have one but the stripes are much thinner.
I belive the other fish your talking about is a Anthias.

Cool, thanks!
Do you have a pic of yours? considering them for my new tank but dont want to get it if it doesn't look pretty similar to that.

Heres the link, its the 1st post, 2nd pic. The fish i'm talking about is just under the yellow tang in the right hand side. Its also in the 4th pic. Now that i look it does have 2 black spots. Is this just a GREAT candy hog wrasse??
Also, what is the orange fish above the yellow tang if you know?

yes thats a CandyHog, I just sold 3 of them for $25 ea. I sold 2 along with the livestock I had in my proptank. They are nice fish.

I don't think so, I have a candy hog and they are completely yellow with a hint of pink/red stripes as are every candy hog I have ever seen. The picture the OP posted looks just like the one I posted where it is more red with yellow striping.

It sure looks like a sunrise hogfish. Normally they're only found in Hawaii, at 300' and below. This guy's pretty lucky!

Unless there's another species that looks very similar, this fish was probably caught by somebody who didn't know what it was. Ordinarily they're in the $1000 plus price range.
