Canister filter for Carbon

I have an eheim 2213 that I would like to use for a carbon filter.
Should I fill it with carbon , half fill , make a few small bags , whats the best way to do this?

Any thoughts on doing this would be apreciated.

i have used the same (also have a 2215) depending on tank size, put a couple cups worth in a mesh bag and you are good to go. just remember to clean it out weekly so gunk does not build up, and change out the carbon about monthly. HTH

Agreed, it really needs to be cleaned weekly. They can trap alot of detritus if left for the month before replacing the carbon. I just got rid of mine because I started getting lazy about taking it off and cleaning it. Back to a good, large HOB filter for media for me.
