canister filter

Any reason you could not use a canister filter as a reactor? If you do not use any foam filter material I do not see any reason why it would not work. Just use the GFO, carbon or any other material?

I wouldn’t buy one just to use as a reactor but if you have one laying around you could use it. I have seen where people with sump less systems use them for there carbon, posban and ChemiPure. Just need to keep them clean of ditrus and other buildup and it will build up in there.
