cannot connect radion

I have been trying to connect my radion to ecosmart live and have been unable to do so. I keep getting a message that I am in offline mode and that reeflink is trying to connect. I have been unable to use reeflink since I have a older mac that does not support reeflink assistant. Does this mean I cannot program my radion through ecosmart live since I cannot use reeflink?

If you are unable to configure your ReefLink, I would recommend downloading the Connection Manager from EcoSmart Live and connecting your Radion via USB.

That is how i am doing it now. I can't use reeflink because the set-up assistant requires 10.7 on the Mac and I have 10.6.8 so I have never used reeflink When i try to log into ecosmart live a message pops up saying that it cannot connect to reeflink and for me to disconnect all cables including power to the light.I spent over a hour last night repeating the same steps and never being able to get the light to connect to ecosmart live. it was showing connected on the connection manager.

I would recommend downloading the Connection Manager and connecting the ReefLink via USB to the computer and configuring it that way.

That is how I have been trying to connect. I have not used the reeflink at all. Using the usb cable I still get a message that reeflink cannot connect.
