Canon 30D pros and cons???

Hi can any 30D owners list the pros and cons of the camera? and does anyone know if they are going to upgrade the Mega pix like they recently did with the Rebel xti? Going to buy either a 30D or a 5D this week. Thanks in advance

I love my 30D - a few MP will not substantially change your picture quality.
Spend more money on lenses, read more to improve technique and worry less about the body. A 30D will be just fine.

That being said, one reason I went with the 30D is spot metering. I also don't care for the controls on the Rebel line. I still use my XT, but it's converted for infra-red use.

Opie & Beerguy- Thanks for the input, I'm gonna go try out a 30D to see how it feels prolly buy one if it feels right. I used to be really big into photography till my Canon A2 and lenses were stolen so I figured I'd take a long break. Been gettin the itch to take some nicer photos than my point and shoot Canon 660 can take. Anyways I'm of to the camera store, Thanks again.

I upgraded to 30D from 20D for spot metering, bigger LCD,
and being able to see ISO setting in viewfinder. The last 2 were very important to me. my night vision has gone to crap (over 40). display on top is not easy to read when up high on tripod, because of the oblique view of screen in the dark (even with backlight on).
