my mom just got a new camera so i got the old one. Its a canon a85. Anything i hsould know about it before i try and fool around with it. Help new to cameras overall.]

The sticky thread at the top of the forum thread list is a good place to start- lots of good links and tips. Then there's this article- that will get you up to speed on the important things you have to learn to get the most out of any camera.
Holler if you need help- and post some samples- critiques are a great way to learn.
