Nikon, only because the guy was 5 hours away and sold for a good price with an Ikelite housing. Looked at both, for my needs it was a wash.
As far as Mac vs PC, Mac is great for a lifetime student or the photo buff. If you want real power you need a PC. And if you question a PC's stability then you should take a tour of the test automation stands I have done. They run for weeks and weeks collecting, calculating and storing data with no problems. My PC that controls my house automation has been running for 5 years straight with no issues or reboots.
The same thing that made the PC main stream is also its biggest problem. Almost any one can write software for them, bad part is almost no one can write good software anymore.
With Mac you only get software from Mac and a handfull of company's.
