How do I get my LCD screen off of menu mode and back to picture mode? I cannot figure this out for the life of me.

Are you asking how to turn on live view?

I took it to the camera store when I ran out and they did it for me. It has been like this for MONTHS.

You are aware that a DSLR like the xsi is not like a point and shoot where you take all of the pictures using the LCD, right? Live view is more for tripod stuff where you can set up, zoom in up to 10x to check focus, and then take the shot. It doesnt quite work like a display on the point and shoot where you are using the lcd all the time. Most of the time you are using the viewfinder on the dslr.

That's the only time I use liveview on my XSi.

The only thing I dont like about using the viewfinder is that after taking so many pictures with only one eye open my other eye gets all blurry and uncomfortable from being squeezed shut so much. That has been the hardest transition from P&S to DSLR for me, lol

I think you're trying too hard Just barely close it... dont like clamp down with all the force your eyelid can take.

Or, dont take 10 minutes to frame every shot

Or you can shoot with both eyes open. Both eyes open is a good technique to learn because you can stay aware of what is happening through the viewfinder and keep track of what is happening beyond the viewfinder.

I find it incredibly uncomfortable now to try and shoot with a P&S. Especially the ones with no viewfinder at all. Its all wrong :lol:.

This is how I usually do it. It takes a little practice to ignore the image out of the left eye. If you have one eye that's strongly dominant over the other, than it's really easy.
