I am going to get ready to install my canopy fans this week. The tank is a 40g breeder (36" x 18"), and the canopy is about 14" tall. The plan is to install T5 lighting in it now and upgrade to LED lighting later. I have already decided to have two fans blowing air into the canopy with an exhaust vent in the middle of the top of the canopy.
The question is whether I should put one fan on each side of the canopy or whether to put one fan near each side of the back of the canopy?
My original idea was to put the fans on the side because it would line up better with any heatsinks in the canopy.
However, placing the fans on the back of the canopy near each side would be more asthetically appealing and would possibly remove any interference the fans might cause with any future light fixtures I get. Anybody see anything wrong with putting the fans in the back of the canopy?
