Cant keep montis

Is there something specific that Montis need that other SPS don't necessarily? I have tried 6 or 7 montis (superman twice, tyree undata twice and a bunch others) and every time they lose their color and then die on me. Other SPS in my tank are doing just fine, good colors and good growth. I have tried the montis all over my tank trying different intensities of light and flow with no luck.

So I am thinking my tank is deficient in something that other sps dont really need as much.

Oh forgot to add that I have a couple caps that are doing ok, so its only the encrusting montis im having problems with.. wierd right?

I have an sps dominate tank,also have monti's..appleberry,superman,reverse sunset,rainbow..all are medium light and flow.They all grow at a steady even pace..i do nothing special ?

I cant grow my monti cap and my monti digitata is just starting to show some polyp extension after having no polyp extension for weeks.

I was told to check K+, I did, and found it within range. I have always had trouble growing monti caps with ULNS. I dont know what it is but I have read other posts about people having trouble growing the montipora species.

What salt are you using? What's your mag levels at?
