Captive Bred S. Bandensis

I have the opportunity to get ahold of captive bred S. Bandensis.

What are your thoughts on this species? What can be housed with them?

What's their behavior like? Nocturnal or what?

Any information you can give me on tank setup, feeding, life span, personality, etc would be great.

THANKS!

If I can ask where you are from and where did you get the bandensis from?

These species are great because of their size. One can be house in a 30-40 gallon. If you house more then 1 it is very difficult. I tried with little success. I haven't seen many luck housing more then one. They are very aggressive towards each other. They grow up to 4 inch. Which make them perfect for a 40 gal. They eat lots and lots of causation like ghost shrimp, small crabs, and marine shrimp. The only thing I house my cuttles with is marcos, and live rock. Any other living thing will be food. You will need to get a good skimmer and test your water for copper. They live in an environment just like a normal reef tank. The life span can be anywhere from 1-2 years. They are nocturnal species so they will hide a lot under rock or in a dark spot.

Hope this helped.
