I was in my martial arts prime at the time and someone try to steel my truck So after waiting till 5:00 in the morning for him to cpme back I beet the living poo out of him till he couldn't stand any more "teaching a valuable lesson" and a three day stay at the hospital Broken ribs, he couldn't walk, walk straightafter a few days, he is missing an eye ball, a lot of blunt tromma to the head, and a baseball ball to the back of his head till it broke then I tryed to stab him with it like a shank and throwing him threw someone's front door glass. I feel I did the community some respect and the crime rate went down preat fast. I fyou need more info i WILL FAX YOU THE REPORT. I'm sick of nothing happing so take it in to you own hands. The cops did nothing to me. Ha had armed robbery, beet his wife twice among other things. Screw people that can't buckel down and do things right. I had cameras, security systems, an AK-47, .40 hand gun, 22, 12- gauge shot gun. Please don't come around hear in bad attentions. love, Dave

Wow a lot of people have had there car stolen here. I had mine stole 3 years ago.. I "guess" I got lucky. They found my car (that part sucked) but they stole everything out of it. smashed the front, and back bumper, burned holes in the seat. scratched a really nice smilie face on the hood of the car 
Insurance wanted me to fill out this huge thing asking me, have I tried selling or trading the car lately. They check my credit to make sure I didn't do it myself.. It was a pain, but when it was all said and done I didn't pay a thing out of pocket..

My VW Bug was stolen when I worked at Sear's Crestwood back in the 80's...thought I was just a little off on where I had parked it, but it was gone...that was back when the movie "Footloose" was popular and we had a VW Stealing Ring in Saint Louis. We never got it back, but our insurance company at the time took good care of us.

Yeah I had my car stolen from in my drive way.
Busted window cost me $200+
Two popped tires $160
Impound $175 but she made a mistake $75
Full tank of gas $40
Mieneke wanted $700 to fix the steering column.
So I start my car with an icepick, keys don't work.
I had a week old camera in there $300+
And I would like to say that the Illinois Auto-Theft Task Force is so far a joke. Missouri has not been much better about charging who they caught or leaning on them to get the other peoples names.
There is no justice. Not at least immediate gratifying justice.

Do you just need a new ignition tumbler?
What other damage did they do to your steering column?

I had a kill switch on my ram when I lived in apartments. That way when I went out of town I had better piece of mind. push button start wouldn't be too hard. you might need another switch for run.
When I had an aftermarket alarm installed the alarm came with starter kill. I said what the heck I would rather have a toggle switch hidden.
trial and error if you want to try and figure it out its nothin but figuring out the right wires. By the way if someone wants your car and they have experience they are going to get it anyway.
