Carbon Dosing In Large Systems

I asked the following question in the Chemistry Forum and was referred to this forum.

Why does increasing the system's volume not also increase the carbon dosing proportionally? Why is the maximum dose for a 25 gallon system 61 mL and a 1000 gallon system 124 mL? What am I missing? Is it cost? Is it concern about screwing up a large system with a "œnew fangled" technique?

What did Randy or Bertoni say? They are much more technical and scientific than most of us in the large tank section

Jonathon's suggestion. I think Randy no longer contributes on a regular basis.

I did some calculations this morning and I believe the original tables are incorrect.

I read your posts and the guy from Belgium posts. You both are WAY more knowledgeable than I am on it so I'm no help.
