Carbon... how do ya use it?

I wanna use carbon... somehow. I used Red Slime Remover, and my protein skimmer went nuts... like it is supposed to. But now its been 5 days, and I still can't turn on the skimmer. I have read that the carbon usage will remove the crap that I put in to remove the crap...

How do ya use it? Just use a media bag, and fill it, and toss it in the sump?

Cool. I will start using the filter sock as a filter sock, and stop using the media bag as a filter sock.

Carbon 100% of the time? Or in and out when needed?

Well I run carbon in my GFO reactor, that is the most efficent way to use it. Although using a HOB filter on the sump would also work having it in a filter bag.

How much carbon do you run in your reactor? I fill mine about halfway usually. I always see people say that they run it in a reactor but I never see them say how much they use.
