Carbon testers wanted - FREE carbon!

Soo... I have a 5 gallon bucket of high absorption carbon from a bulk distributor who promises I will never use anything else after this stuff for all my aquarist needs.

Want some free carbon? :D The catch is that you have to test it out and let me know what you found out compared to your normal carbon. I plan to actually run it through a couple tests before using it in my system to verify the non-phosphate claims, and then start out on my nano, then move up. Like anything else, please approach this sensibly and be sure you run your own tests too. I would feel horrible if your water turned black and your stuff killed over.

If this works out and lives up to me distributors' hype, I would have access to this stuff pretty inexpensively and will be ordering a couple cases for my own personal use.

This 5 gallon bucket was shipped to me w/o charge until I verify it was what I am looking for. So I have to think the seller really believes in his product if he is willing to put it out there like that. Ha! I was just thinking how crack addicts first hook their customers... the first sample is free. ;)

I am offering free half gallon ziplock bags full of it to the first 5 folk that are craz... I mean nice enough to try it out. :)

Is it granular or pellets? Also, do you know what kind of material it was made from?Coal based or shell based?

It is coal based, and granular. I can try to post some shots of my mountain of coal later today if you like.

Yes, it looks spectacular sitting in the bucket in front of my tank, just itching to actually get water running through it... ;)

I am prepping the tests to start tomorrow. Wanted to do concentrated tests to determine phosphate leeching and the works. I will post my results.

For those getting in on the action, you all know where I live... come on by!

Sure, I have a bit more. Please read the disclaimer above and come on over in any evening but tonight... already have plans.
