CARC 1st annual coral market

The raffle is at 3. Yes you have to be present to win. Im sure all of the raffles are that way. You can wait to drink a beer what time is the brew fest over?

Over at 7..... But getting my beer in early!!! My personal opinion, all other prior engagements aside...... If you didnt have to be present for the raffles you could sell more. I wouldnt want to sit there 3hrs in hopes to win a $25 GC. I would buy a bunch of tickets knowing that I could win something if i wasnt there. Alot of people prolly will be getting there in the first hr to get all the good stuff that people are bringing. Just my OPINION.

I thought it worked very well this year at the MARC swap when they raffled off things throughout the day. I don't know if you're planning a fundraising raffle or just door prizes, but it seemed to work out well. That way people that were there for just part of it still had a chance at a raffle prize. If someone's not there you just draw until you find someone that is... and you don't have to hold onto any prizes from people that won that weren't there...
I think they did hold the "fundraising raffle" later though...

Might be the way to go since there's so many other big events going on later in the day this Saturday.... also just a suggestion :)

and in jfinneyi's defense... people won't really be able to just wait to go to the brewfest.... I was reading up on it since I'm playing drums there this year - and sounds like a huge line forms even before the gates open....

with the "freeing of the hopps" recently I can only imagine it will be busier than in past years!

just a thought... I know you guys are dealing with trying to get this off the ground, and right after the MARC swap and all - I hope you the best of luck and a swap that is successfull year after year

We plan on drawing for door prizes throughout the day, but the big ticket items will be in a raffle at 3:00 to raise money for the church.

Do you have a Map?

f so Post it on here and some of us from out of town might droop in!

Here is a link to a map, first time trying this so hope it works. The church is on Hwy. 31 in Gardendale between Fieldstown Road (exit 271 off I-65) and Mount Olive Road (exit 272 off I-65). Gardendale is just north of Birmingham.

There are huge lines, last yr we waited like 20min in traffic then another 30 in line!!!
3hrs just standing there WAITING for a raffle is a long time.

Looks like ya'll have a big decision to make. I choose no lines and maybe a brand new RO/DI. I can buy the new beers in the store very soon. I will miss out on futureeyedoc's drums though. Maybe we can hear you play another time. Too bad, we'll miss you!

Is the market open to anyone? I just learned about CARC from one of the stores I shop when in Montgomery and am interested in coming and hopefully, getting some things. As I understand it, just bring canned goods for admission? Thanks!
