CARC April Meeting

I wanted to start planing the next meeting, I talk to Darly at Tropical Pet cove and he would like us to have the meeting there. He said he could get a grill and cook out. It is a small store so an outdoor meeting there could be a " How to " for argocreate.


Or I can go talk to Tein about having it at aquarium designs.

Your imput is needed.

I haven't visited Tropical yet and it is a new store and if he is willing to host I think we should consider supporting his business.We just have to hope for good weather.

it was originally going to be at my place but with the numbers that we have now i dont see that being possible now. i have talked to Tein about haveing the meeting there and he said it be fine but just to let him know ahead of time when itll be. i too have not been to tropical pet cove yet and would like an excusse to visit it, soo i vote tropical pet cove

Hi guys,

Are you guys up for a joint meeting with NARC sometimes in the near future? Some of our members happens to live in Cullman and Hartselle area. They usually come all the way to our neck of the woods, but it would be nice to head your/their way every once in a while.

Tropical pet cove is nice but cramp, so an outdoor meeting would work. They have a lot of corals at good prices and health fish too. So I vote Tropical pet cove.

Tomoko it would be great to host a joint meeting as you know some of us are members in NARC also and would love to visit with you guys and gals. Long term it might be a possibility that we host a regional frag swap together. We are just getting our club up and running and have had tremedous numbers growth, looking forward to meeting with you guys again.

Holding a regional frag swap together would be really great. Now that gfat (the key person in Nashville frag swap) is moving down to Montgomery, we can probably snag him and tap into his experience and knowledge about holding these things

TPC is do-able. How about a in depth lesson on Kalkwasser vs. A/B supplememts vs. Calcium reactors vs. liquid additives? Best worst comparison?

I am up for tropical as well. I too would like a discussion on reef chemicals the good, the bad, the ugly. But I am also in need of rock replacement and a demo on aragocrete would be up my alley as well.

As for the meeting with the NARC, I think that is a possibility, but I will say that will be up to the officers to decide when they are in place. I know that an annual get together would be in everyones interest, and I also know that was one of the things the president has tossed out to us.

Sounds excellent to me! I've been to TPC once and they had really good prices on coral.
They have a lot of other things besides marine aquaria, too . . .

A presentation about kalkwasser vs. two-part additives sounds awesome . . .
