Care Magnet gets rid of Coralline algae as well?

HI I am about to purchase this product. And wanted to know if it removes Coralline algae on the glass.. not much but it's there.

Yes, the stainless blade on glass will cut right through it, it is a real Solingen stainless blade. The plastic blades can nibble at coralline, but they dull quickly when used for this. The larger models (Long and Strong) include the stainless blade set.

For 1/2 inch glass, which is more appropriate, the "Long" or the "Strong"?

I'll bet he tells you the strong.....although the long has a super strong magnet.....

You could use either, the Strong will certainly be stronger and less likely to fall, the Long would put less pressure on the blades and the blades would last longer as a result.

The long has a crazy strong magnet. I almost took my finger off when I got it too close to its other half outside the tank.

I'm considering downgrading to the short one.

My friend has strong..and it's very very very x3 strong.....He had to slide sideways to seperate those two...wow!

I have the strong care magnet and can confirm that the metal blade scrapes through tough coraline no problem.
