Looking forward to purchasing one and wanting to know what to expect of this certain tang. Do they graze on algae fairly well? and how hard is it to find a juvenile? And how quickly will they grow once in the ol'e tank.

Thanks

They are algae eaters, like most tangs, but will eat all other common aquarium foods. They get big and they can be agressive as well. It is easier to find a juv then an adult because the juv are easier to ship. The juv are yellow and as they grow they become the deep blue except for the tail. At this point it is my favorite age, the tail is still yellow and they look like a red sea purple tang, just less purple. After that the tail changes and you get the adult color. If you get one it should probably be the last fish you add, as they can be hard on new introductions.

Been looking at both the purple and caribb. blue tang for quite some time. Thats perfect that they look sort of like purple but still unique. I'm currently on the look out for one now, will let you know when i find one.

Thanks!
