anyone used this product. received free sample. didnt know wherther to try out or just throw away. water not cloudy just wondering about removing waste products & bacteria it claims to do

Sounds like a load of bunk to me, but I have no experience with the product. Is there an ingredients label on the package?

I believe it is just a flocculent. Theoretically its job is to bind the small particles together so that they can be filtered.

However, Im not a scientist!

description sounds like what creade said
binds particles to be removed by filtration.
i guess thats why they sent free samples out. not woth buying unless tank water is very cloudy. think i wil just chunck bottle & make room for things i know work

They put a small sample in every bag of sand they sell. That's for when you are adding the sand, it helps the cloudiness. I've use it a couple of times, but there was nothing in my tank but new sand......
