i just bought a carnation anemone and i was wondering what does it eat, since i dont really know much about them, and also my lfs have a purple linkia, i dont know i should buy it or not.

I heard that those starfish are hard to take care of, becasue they are prone to disease and don't live for more than a year in aquariums. I have never had a carnation anemone, but I think they would eat chopped fish.

Honestly, I'm not sure from the pic (blurry) what species that is. It could be H. aurora, but it looks badly bleached whatever it is. It will probably eat small 1/4 inch cubes of silversides, squid, or shrimp (uncooked table shrimp). It would benefit from being fed several times per week, assuming it will eat. Put a piece of food on the tentacles and watch to see if it takes it into its mouth. Also, what type of lighting do you have (watts, color temp)?

I don't know if it is H. aurora or not. It may be, but it looks more like one of those little Heteractis-esque spp. anemones that come in from time to time. I do agree that it is bleached, though and should be fed, etc.

That lighting may be inadequate. How large is the tank? How many inches is the anemone from the bulbs? You should replace the 50/50 with all daylight for an anemone. You definitely want to research an animal before you buy it.
