Hey guys, i was thinking of getting the carnation, has anyone ever had one of these??

Is says there tough, but have any of you guys kept them? My tank paramaters stay constant and the only dosing i do is Calcium. The only trace elements i use come directly from my water changes and the salt.

I have a small 46g tank with few coral so i've never had any problem with nutrition depletion.

I also run 192watss of PC lighting and i heard that is perfect for these guys.

Any opinions???

NOT a coral for beginners. IMO you should avoid purchasing it. The site's description is spot on.

"It is extremely difficult to maintain in the reef aquarium, and should be housed in an established reef aquarium, by the more advanced marine aquarist. It requires low lighting combined with medium to strong water movement. It is necessary to have a constant current with an abundance of algal plankton. For continued good health, it will also require the addition of strontium, iodine, and other trace elements to the water. "

In addition these guys are not photosynthetic. The low lighting is to prevent algae growth from hindering them.
