I know very hard to keep.But Look at this color... WoW. I couldn't help it. I picked up few days ago and feeding it 2 or 3 times a day.Its next to a purple Gorgonian the other hard to keep Had it 3 months now so far so good.
It's very tough just to get these guys to open up fully. The flow speed and regime is super critical. Scleronephthya is much easier to get to open (see below), but that's just half the battle. Squirting in phyto often is nice, but your best bet is to DIY a system where you can drip in phyto on a consistent basis. All day and all night. I feed rotifers, newly hatched Artemia, microworms, cyclop-eeze (they can actually catch them), Reed Shellfish diet, and I'm going to get some DTs oyster eggs at some point too. I feed these every day, several times a day. If you have a nice mature sandbed, turkey basting it and the rocks (regular maintenance anyhow) to suspend detritus, bacteria, ciliates, etc. should be a consistent chore. Best of luck.
