Moving onto the STARS you guys are reffering to... I see someone mentioned they're pink sometimes, but your not reffering to mini-brittle stars like these are you?:

The stars pictured are just your run-of-the-mill mini brittles that are great scavangers, and I'd susect the coral was already on its way out if these were the kind of stars you saw on it. [/B]
stunreefer,
You're right, I'm reffering to a much smaller star. The are physically the size of one polyp head on the carnation coral. Each one was/is about an 1/8 of an inch across.
I've been feeding the filter feeders rotifers and phyto-feast (Reef Nutrition). Every time I see a polyp open I make sure I get some food to flow over the open polyps.
I'm curious about how much flow they prefer. They are both is a fairly steady gentle current. Not enough to bend them over but enough to move them around a bit.
Back to feeding.... I'm probably over feeding the tank considering the amount of hair algae I'm "growing". Just added a lettuce nudi to work on it. My nitrates are constantly less than 5 and I do 10% water changes a week. Phosphates are 0. I'm going to pick up a remora skimmer on payday to help with the high nurtient contant.
Well, that's about it.
Thanks for the great replies!
