Carolina aquarium expo and frag swap 2013

Never been to a expo/frag swap before. Are the prices reasonable for frags? Could I expect to get any good deals? I'm 3 hours away and wondering if it would be worth going.
 
There are always great deals, for both high end frags and the basic stuff. Last year there were prices ranging from $1 up to over $100. In fact, the bulk of the people who showed up were from over 2hrs away!

I live in concord and went last year and was amazed. i doubt i miss another. Even if you don't go to buy just walking around and looking is fun. like going to an aquarium only better specimens.

i cant wait...im in....im only about 1 1/2 hours away...i live in Aiken, SC

hope to get some really nice corals...looking for some Scolys, montiopora,chalice and who knows what else......cant wait EXCITED first expo
 
I've never been to one of these, do I need to bring something like a bucket or cooler in case I buy something?

It would be advisable. The vendor may give you a plastic bag. I use one to carry my purchases around during the vent. I keep a styro cooler on the car to place everything in for the journey home.

We are approaching 75 tables. Not including club and raffle tables. Picking up 500 Foster and Smith gift bags. Just spoke with one vendor bringing over 500 frags.

There will be designer clowns and a few other fish that are tank bred, probably not too many tangs or fish you would see at your LFS
 
85-125 gallon drilled. I'd like a rimless but I won't die if it isn't. PM if you have anything or have some leads. :dance:
