Just playing with the camea today, but caught my wrasse all finned out!
Great shot of the excited wrasse! However that is a McCoskers rather than Carpenter.
No! lfs called them (a mated pair) Carpenter wrasse!
Possibly you have a male/female (McCoskers) wrasse. However you almost certainly do not have a mated pair. You possibly have a bonded pair, but that too is unlikely. Your LFS seems a bit prone to exaggeration.
Well i don't know much about this stuff yet, I do know the McCoskers one is fancy (all the fin thing (male?)) and one is plain. They do hang out all the time. Sometimes chasing each other around the tank sometimes. Mostly it been the male ( the fancy one?) chasing the female, but today for the first time i watch the female chasing the male around...lol who knows?
I was sold a 4 McCosker's as Carpenter's wrasses back in 2002 by Liveaquaria.com...
