Carpet anemone mouth question?

I have had my carpet for around 2 months now and it still has an open mouth. The mouth is not loose, looks firm and when I turkey baste him for cleaning he seems to close his mouth more. His coloring is fantastic, his size and stature are great, he's very sticky, and eats like a pig. When I feed him, he has the piece of fish in his mouth within 30 sec to a min and hes prob a good 18 inches or more. Is it possible this is a condition that doesnt necessarily mean hes stressed or in a bad way? He hosts my midnight clown currently and like I said seems very healthy otherwise. Any thought?

Pics will definately help but in general open mouth means something is off. It could be water params. , another nem in the tank, clowns bothering it, lights not up to par................

Clown doesnt seem to beat it up while im watching.
I do have a large rbta on the opposite side of the tank its about 5 1/2 ft away.

I have no exp. with BTA's in the same tank but Toddrtrex on here has tried to house a BTA and Haddoni in the same tank and the Haddoni wouldn't settle in and close it's mouth until the BTA was removed IIRC.

i currently have a tank with a haddoni, its been in there about 1 month (haddoni has)
and i would say the haddoni has not 100% settled in..

its moved a couple times... (not much) but idk if its because of the RBTA or because i put 4 new ATI bulbs on my fixture... about 3 weeks after it was in the tank

my haddoni's mouth was open but tight still (i know what your talking about) for the first week id say a couple hours out of the day.. 2nd week was every now and then for maybe 30 minutes
and now its almost a month and its never open... that i see anyways

but the BTA is still in the tank, i plan to move it to my new tank as soon as its ready though..given the advice ive seen todd give, cause he knows his stuff. and then see if there is a noticable change.

That is correct, and I had the same issue with S. Haddoni and an LTA -- happened with more then one Haddoni, so I don't think I managed to get two fickle Haddonis.

So I gather we are thinking the rbta may be the cause of the stress? BTW what is the consequence of leaving the 2 nems in there and the carpets mouth staying consistently open, if healthy otherwise?
