Carpet anemone vs powerheads

Came from work this morning to find my carpet anemone on my both powerheads, I unplug them now am waiting for him to get off. here's a pic

First, cover your powerheads.
Second, figure out why the S. Haddoni moved.
Third, let it come out of there on its own -- if there is no damage to its foot, and it was otherwise healthy it should make a recovery.

How long have you had it?
What are your tank specs -- lights, parameters -- with numbers.
What fish do you have in there? (( it is going to be weakened, and could be picked up by certain fish ))
Any shrimps?

Todd - You mentioned shrimps. Is there any concern with something like a cleaner picking on a carpet?

Not a healthy one. But, I have personally seen cleaners and peppermints go after an S. Haddoni that had damaged (( not by a powerhead, but by me damaging the oral disc trying to remove it from a tank )) and/or stressed -- stressed usually in the sense of it being a new to the tank.

Temps are a little warm for my taste.. But that is just IMO as I think 80 is usually ideal, but leave that up to the carpet experts. Also PC's might be a little light for that type of anemone

I agree, that temp is on the high side. I keep mine b/t 76-83* -- depending on the time of year/day.

What is the salinity/SG?

The lights are borderline -- in the past I kept one under 6*65PC over a 75, but it really started looking better when I went to MH/T5 combo.

Good luck, seems like the foot and oral disc may have been spared. Fingers crossed. I would suggest checking your Ammonia, Nitrates and Nitrites if you haven't recently and keep a close eye on your water quality until he heals. Also as asked earlier what is your salinity?

Temp seems a little high, I use a regular house fan to keep my 90g at about 79-82'F. My AC is usually set to 76'F-78'F, I position my fan on the side of my tank angled toward the wall so the air can pass all the way across the back surface of the glass. Just an idea, some people like higher temps.
