The wife went by Clark's up on Menaul in the heights and picked up a beautiful, X-large carpet anenome for me. Uhhh.....I think it might be radioactive err something. Anyway she bought it right out of the bag and got a great deal on it. $35.00 and filled up my fish punch card too(extra 10 bucks 4 next time verrryy niiiice)!! This was my get well present for after my resent surgery. She even acclimated, fed the tank, and even picked up a free lb. of dog biscuits (they have a coupon in their add this month). Anyway just letting you about the good deals going on @ Clark's Pet Store and Emporium.

Does anyone know what a carpet anenome goes for @ Southwest Reef Company?????? Just curious...... Can't drive right now (just had surgery; one arm only) or i'd check it out my self.

very nice, wat color is it. i got my green carpet at petco for $27.99. the one in the westside. and its about 12in. when lights on. am not sure but i'll be there this weekend i'll check for u unless someone else know..

I hope it is not in that 12gal, lol. They are really not that expensive just some stores mark it up three to four times. But i think you got a pretty good deal on this one. Just make sure you feed it. The only down part is that they can and will eat fish in your tank and can even bring down tangs as well. I personally would not recommend one but they are awesome none the less. Thanks

The carpet is probably about 6 inches in diameter right now, but it is still getting adjusted. It is a green one as well. I hope it doesn't take down my black tip reef shark or it could be the worst $35 I ever spent! ha ha. lol. I have never really done the anenome thing because i've always had acros, and the anenome potentially stinging my acros was just not worth the risk. Water flow would have probably been a problem as well. Anyway i'm an old softie now. It's all good.
What kind of stuff do they have at the Petco over on the Westside? The one up here in the heights on Lomas usually only has fish and maybe a couple mushroom rocks. Thats about it. Last week they had yellow tangs on special though.

they have alot nice fish up there, like the emperor angle =D... and a bunch of nice goby you dont see in regular petstore and a whole bunch of carpet when i was there to get my carpet.

I wouldnt worry about it eating any of your fish. I had green carpet for about 3 years and it out grew my tank and was sold back to my LSF (this was in So-Cal) It never got a fish, but the sting can be irritating to the skin its almost like it leaves anemone barbs I would pull away from it and my arm would have tons of little neon green pieces stuck to it.. LOL

Depending on what species carpet I have had my red haddoni eat a mandarin a foxface and a six line wrasse. They are awesome and have accepted to more fish.:)
