carpet anenome help

I dont know much about them so i need to do some research but I was wondering what everyone else thought about them and how hard are the different varieties to find? like green, blue, and red ones

any info is appreciated!

well, first off, what kind of carpet are you looking for? And i'm not talking about different colors here :)

most ppl have maxi mini's (which are non-clown hosting), and remain small enough to keep in nanos,

haddonis, giganteas, mertens? these 3 are the clown-hosting ones and get quite big. Merten's you'll see are rarely in aquariums ... Haddoni and gigs are the more "popular" ones, but require totally different care. In a nutshell, giganteas are rock dwelling and require high flow and are TOUGH to keep--very difficult to find a healthy one. Haddonis are sand dwellers, lower flow.

All require high lighting (which i'm assuming you have). Do a search, look at in particular which carpet you're interested in, and we can go from there.
 
Haddoni carpets are the easiest to find and keep, but are known to eat fish, especially butterflies and tangs.
 
I had a pair of clowns host to a blue leather, and not to ANY of the carpets in my tank. Sometimes the Clowns are just finicky.
Is there a best practice for which type of clown hosts with which type of invert?
