Im not sure what to do? I have him right now In my refugium and a black clown is hosting in him....Thats the only fish I have in there..I have some very large tangs and would hate for anything to happen to them.

From what I can tell, you're worried about putting it into the tank without it even being in there. Which means if you end up putting it in there, you'll probably be worrying even more about it. So here are the options from what I see:

1. Put it in the tank and worry about it eating your fish
2. Get rid of it and forget about it
3. Setup a species specific tank for the anemone and a couple of clowns that would be suitable for it and plug it into your system.

I like #3 :)

I have a 60 gallon hex setup with 3 tomatoes I may put him in there...but the lighting is no good! I think just pc..will they live off basic lighting?

I did not mean to say "Carpet will kill tangs that are very big". Rather I mean to say Carpet can kill tangs and other fish that are big. Most fish know to stay away from them. I am sure there are many fish that live in a large tank with a Carpet and did not get eaten. We only hear about the ones that got killed so our perception on how common this is is somewhat slanted. The smaller the tank, the more likely the fish run into a Carpet. When he does, it will be the end of him.
If I have an expensive or irreplaceable fish, I would not keep it in a tank with a Carpet.
